Registration for SSB NDA 2020

Defence aspirants looking for registration for SSB NDA 2020 who are willing to join in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force as Officers, appear for many examinations like National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services (CDS) and Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), every year.

UPSC has declared the result of NDA 1 & 2 2020 examination and with that, the high-spirited candidates who have qualified, are out to know how to apply for registration for SSB NDA 2020 .

The process of registration for SSB NDA 2020  is fairly simple.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the combined National Defence Academy (NDA) I & II examination 2020 on September 6th in the online mode. The official advertisement related to UPSC NDA I & II exam result 2020 has been issued through the official website www.upsc.gov.in on October 9.

Registration for SSB NDA 2020

• The candidates are required to undergo the process of registration for SSB after NDA 2020 Result (9th Oct) at Indian Army’s website- joinindianarmy.nic.in , so candidates need to register at joinindianarmy.nic.in before October 23.
• After registering at the Join Indian Army website, the successful candidates will then be allotted Selection Centers and dates of SSB Interview.
• Afterwards candidates will be contacted through emails about their SSB Interview date, time and place, on their registered (with UPSC NDA exam) e-mail ID.
• If a candidate has already registered with joinindianarmy.nic.in, he is not needed to register again.
• If the candidate is facing any error/login problem, he can mail to  dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in.
• In recent years, the process was that the candidates were directly communicated by Directorate of General Recruiting about their SSB date and Center such as Army board, AFSB or the Naval board.
• The Centers are provided taking into consideration preferences set by the candidate in the application. However, now it is mandatory to register at Indian Army recruiting website.

Registration for SSB NDA 2020: Interview Documents Required

Candidates will be required to submit original certificates of Age and Educational Qualification at the time of SSB interview.

It must be noted that the candidates do not need to send any document to UPSC now.

The original documents as well photo copies have to be carried out with you in the SSB interview.

The certificates are: Birth certificate, High School/Senior Secondary marks sheets and passing certificate etc.

SSB (Services Selection Board)

• SSB means Services Selection Board it is an organization that assesses the candidates for becoming officers into the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

• The board evaluates the candidate for becoming an officer using a standard system which consists of personality, intelligence tests, and interviews. 
• Services Selection Board (SSB) have a panel of assessors, who are officers in Indian Armed Forces and they were specialized as Psychologist, GTO and Interviewing Officer.
• SSB is a 5–6 days evaluation process.
• SSB Centers in India: In total there are 13 Service Selection Boards across India, out of which 4 are for Indian Army, 4 are for Indian Air Force and 5 for Indian Navy respectively.
